Duration:
2 hours
Come Rain or Shine:
I'll be there, no matter what the weather.
Ride Database Entry:
Winmalee Meeting Point:
End of White Cross Rd, Winmalee, NSW. There's a small parking area here but it's a standard suburban street so overflow isn't a problem.
Details:
Crazy late notice, but we're heading out to Shaw's/Bee's Nest again this afternoon; Craig on the Roscoe, myself on the blue blaze and the brother in law on the little white thing.
We'll be starting at around 5:00pm. Craig said he's on time today.
See you out there if you see this......
Ian.

how did the bees nest challenge end up?
did this ride a couple of weeks back before all the rain and set a pb up bees nest of 10:45 from junction at the bottom to junction at the top...
I'm yet to ride it in one hit. I've tried it at least 5 times in the last month and failed every time - the best i've done is to the sandstone slab with the grooves in it on the last left hander (yes almost there!) and lifted the front, over balanced and had to dab a foot. After a quick breather I finished it off. Most of the time I get up past the second hump just before that corner after the flattish section 3/4's up. My main problem is that I go out too hard and I'm not fit enough to finish it off. Next time ill start slower and see how I go.
yeah i kinda just cruise up as easy as possible until the last steep bit after the long false flat (rest and recover) bit...and then hopefully smash up the last pinches...
i also know of a local winmalee superhero who claims to have done it all on a single speed...
Hey beaver, I recommend creating a hot lap for the challenge
bmorc.com/node/add/hot-lap
Don't encourage him Tim.
just checked the GPS and it was 10m 21sec exactly...118m vertical in 995m long = only 11.9% average...i thought it seemed longer than that?
Recommendation acted upon...
