The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
Thanks, Discodan for the warning - much of the track will be closed tomorrow due to a reduction burn so doesn't look as though this ride is really fesable
Doesn't stop me from wanting to go there another time, though...
In the three years I've been an obsessive cyclist, I've been to many great places both in and out of Sydney, but I have never been to Manly Dam. Isn't that shocking. Luckily, I'm about to change that, and am hoping some locals could show me around as I've heard it can get confusing. I'm hoping to get two or three laps in, depending on how long it takes us. I want to do it at a fairly brisk pace, you know, the pace an experienced 17 year old does, but won't want to rush something like this.
Hoping I can get a couple of people in!
Cheers, Tristan

... might be interested, but it will depend on the weather. If the track is wet we don't ride, and we'd ask you to follow the same rule - it trashes the trails.
Would you please change your comment on the "Come rain or shine" to "If it's raining I won't be there." Cheers![Smiling Smiling](https://nobmob.com/sites/all/modules/smileys/packs/Example/smile.png)
Will let you know about my youngster - he's usually keen for a riding partner.
Whoops, yeah, I'll change the meeting status up the top. Hoping to ride it then.
I'd be up for joining you but am without transport so if anyone's driving in from near a north shore train station and could give me a lift that'd be awesome and i'd come along for the ride.
Cheers
Tom
from my youngster. I'll PM you his number.
Carbon, you can train it to Chatswood or Roseville (better) and ride 10-12km to the trailhead from there, or train it to the city and catch the (very scenic) ferry out to Manly, and ride the less hilly 4 or 5 km from there.
Unfortunately these two are too young to drive, so can't help you with a lift. I'm thinking of doing a few laps on Boxing Day morning, so if you need a lift I may be able to oblige then. Be prepared for an early start if the forecast is for a hot day.
Looks like you'll need to postpone:
"
Good afternoon Mountain Bikers,
The Rural Fire Service advises that they will be conducting a Hazard Reduction burn in the Allambie Heights section of the reserve tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd December, and as such the fire trail/bike track will be closed to the public between Wakehurst Parkway and Cootamundra Drive. While other sections of the track remain unaffected, riders will not be able to complete the full circuit without considerable detour and should plan accordingly.
Regards,
Manly Dam Rangers

Rinse and repeat to get home.
