Got a GPS with your route? Given I live in Lane Cove it would be nice to ride some trails straight from home.

...but here are the directions from Lane Cove. Take the bike path to Delhi Road. On Delhi Road take the first left into Plassey Road. At the end of Plassey Road go around the gate onto the service road, down a hill then left onto Riverside Drive. Just after you pass the National Park toll booth continue straight ahead onto a bike path, which passes under Lane Cove Road, then brings you up onto the footpath (on Lave Cove Road). Turn left, cross De Burgh's Bridge (over the lane cove river) and just up the hill you'll see the entrance to a firetrail on your left. Now you're on the trails, and you can follow them all the way to Pennant Hills, North Epping and Cheltenham. There are a few map boards dotted around the place, but the best map is published by STEP and is called "Walking Tracks of the upper lane cove valley". Single tracks are off limits to bikes, but there are plenty of firetrails you can ride. Enjoy!

How do you avoid the hike a bike section between the pipe and the fire trail leading up to Ryde road.
Lots of new concreted sections and signs now.
But they still haven't fixed that causeway.
I live at Marsfield and ride Lane Cove a couple of times a week.
Good climb back up to Penno Park on the way home.

I don't know any way to avoid the hike-a-bike section. At least it only takes a few minutes.

Finally found this route. I will start to commute next week. How lucky I feel.
