A 'cold' hot lap
Date:
16 Jan 11
Challenge:
Terrey Hills - Perimeter + Long Return
Time:
01:01:20 It was a very wet start to the day and I felt like I was still half asleep.
Slow on the way out, had to stop a couple of times to clean my glasses.
Thought it would be minutes faster on the return, but even though I felt I was going faster it was only a minute quicker. Not really a 'hot' lap, but thought I'd post it up just so I've got something to beat when I have a proper go another time.
When I got back to the gate, had something to eat then went over and did the duckholes/centre challenge. I was good and warmed up and that went much better!

I wonder how you would go in 2011 with another 10 years training under the belt!
(Hopefully)
Last year ended well - approx 350 hours training, and 100,000m vertical for the year.
It's a good base for this year, and already off to a good start, lifting my weekly hours a notch, a bit more intensity, and trying to hold back the biological clock
@tate - went out and did duckholes/centre after this 'slow' effort and was pretty happy with the time - first go for that circuit at speed.
I think tate is referring to the date on the hot lap is 2001 for some reason.
Either way, it was good time on the DH+C track - especially after a hot lap "warm up" of P+LT. Well Done.
Just remember - not to take photos of Bandy Bandy's along your way...
Thanks guys, missed the year typo!
