Security alert for Sydney CBD bike commuters

After Sasc and nickovalentino had their bikes stolen from under their building at North Sydney last week, it looks like the bike thief scum have moved into the CBD. Just got this email late this afternoon:

Dear All,

Early this morning EQ Management’s Security Team managed to deter an intruder from entering the B1 Bike Cage.

The incident has been reported to the Police and Group Security.

A general reminder to all staff that utilise these facilities to ensure that no valuables or bikes be stored overnight.

Group Property has also begun a review of the security in this area and will be making changes from Monday next week.

As an interim measure Security Patrols from both XYZ and EQ Management will be increased.
