Went for an early ride this morning out at south camden . I had forgoten how good this place is, The track winds its way through thick bushland just above the Nepean river twisting and turning ,droping into gullys with pinch climbs to keep to keep you working ,the 2 deepest gullys have wooden bridges in the bottom but very steep entry and exit ,I cant ride out of the first gully on the way in but it is rideable on the return trip.
The second gully is awesome and you can hit it fast in both directions .There is no elevation gain over the length of the ride but the pinch climbs and constant twisting through the trees make this a great fun ride.
after 7 km of single track there is 3km of open fire road ( more an access road ) which is good to stretch your legs and finish up near Menangle rd ,then you turn around for the return journey ,once you hit the single track it doesn't feel like you are riding the same track back it seems faster and even more Flowing one section you are ripping through a gully riding natural berms on each side of the gully and carrying 25+ kph weaving between trees... FUN +, it all ends a bit to soon at 20km return but it so good you might as well turn around and do it again! It took me 1 hour and 25 all up with a ride time 1.14.56 and average of 15.9 kph definately a ride worth doing and you can smash a couple of laps at mount Annan on your way back . Smiling

A friend and I rode it over the break. Certainly an excellent trail. Shady, best ridden bone dry (slippery privet tree roots). It's so tight and it flows, it feels like it just keeps going and going. I need to get some better footage of it, it's quite dark. Awesome track!

I first rode it 3years ago and every time I have been there it has gotten better. Many thanks to the local trail builders .I have ridden it wet,not a good idea had to crawl out of the 1st gully!
