Seat post

Probably a stupid question but I wanted to check prior to placing on online order with CRC. I have an old 27.2mm seatpost that just misses being clamped down on, the old post was 28mm and I thought it would work Puzzled If I order a shim that says 27.2-28mm would this work or would the tube just slide down inside the shim?

Seat tube clamps the shim, which clamps the seatpost. Just make sure the gap in the shim aligns with the slot in the top of the seatpost.

I got a 27.2 to 31.6 shim from CRC for my recent build and it worked a treat
