Two wheels are not always better than one. See if you can recognise the BMORC rider, or should I say runner, who challenged WSUC at the drop off.

Come one Michael really was smooth as down there... made it look really easy! Respect!

BMORC 1 and WSUC... well nice try I reckon Smiling

Mikey representing Bmorc with all the skill of a mountain goat, even hitting the a-line, Bmorc is the clear winner here!

Ha ha Crazy good it's a draw

It all started when another unnamed BMORC rider and I were discussing the municycle video on a previous ride. He said "I just don't get it, it must be easier to run". So I thought lets see. We had great fun that day.

Next time I'll wear my Asics GT 2100 runners!

P.S. Muni or MTB. It's all Off Road Cycling and great fun!

Touche!

That might have been me, but I also don't get why people shave their legs and ride around France for a month or go round and round in circles in a velodrome.

Great skill on those munis though, I must admit....

PS. nice work on that line Michael, we'll just need to work on your style Smiling

Exactly!! Now that stuff mentioned above is insane. The unicyles in comparison are really just a bit quirky.

... and heck its a lot of fun to watch.

And Muni people, do you remember a unicyle guy in Kranked 1 and Kranked 2 who was insane riding on cliff edges and bridge railings... he wasn't in later kranked movies... so I assume he met a sticky end. He was amazing.. also remember he did a massive taco after a pier railing ride.

Moggio the guy in kranked is Kris Holm. Note the taco was on a 29" wheel. He is a Canadian who rides the North Shore (Canada) MTB skills area's. He started out as a MTB'er. Some say that Muni is a natural progression from MTB.
Kris is still around and is more involved in his own product lines, 'KH' branded uni's and equipment. He was the worlds #1 Muni/trials rider, but other guys like Max Shultz, are now taking the reigns. Max is a sponsored rider by Kris, check out some of his trials Youtube videos, this guy is amaizing and man can he can 'jump'!

Glad he is still alive! Problem with the early mtb movies is they made everyone look crazy to make it interesting rather than showing awesome riding... hence why Bender got filmed. So Holm's looks a nut riding near cliff edges rather than filming him well doing cool things.. well at least they did put in some Nth Shore stuff.

I guess the thing with the muni is what is it that makes it attractive to ride? I know there is the standard speil for why SS is great but what makes the unicyle off road fun rather than just a great way to hurt something?

Awesome skills but isn't that invisible municycle the second guy had still classified top secret? Wont someone get shot for posting it on you tube?

What is the appeal of Muni? Well i guess its the challenge of it all, MTB is great fun, but Muni takes that to the next level. Its a bit hard to explain until you have tried it. Its like learning to walk again all over, then before you know it your off and running. (pardon the pun). Injury wise we do not get that hurt, usually only when we are trying some new harder line or just do something plain stupid.

We are now into the endurance side of it entering the Sydney 24hr next week, so our training has been a 10km loop each night incorporating the ride up Mitchells pass and I thought it was hard on two wheels.

Seen Juliannes comment on Rotorburn about uni's from G/brook and wondered whether it was you guys, the hill climb at del rio will be interesting for you guys, then there is the creek descent which is at the hard level of technical riding, will be fun on uni's!?"%$#
