While washing my bike back at home I noticed a Bubble on my tyre.
Any ideas what has caused this, im guessing I will need a new tyre.

Can be a fault in the tyre. I also have heard that some sealant make you more prone to this type of failure although I have never had an issue.
The ammonia that keeps the sealant liquid can be an issue. What's happen is you've got a puncture and the sealant has done it's job but the ammonia has gotten into the glue that holds the layers of rubber together and the tyre laminated.
Saw it a few times.
Never had the issue since switching to Oz Spex sealant
'Spose you could run a tube in it till you wear it out.
Had the same thing happen to a Maxxis Crossmark LUST running Stans sealant a few months back. I popped the bubble with a pin and a clearish watery liquid ran out. Tyre didn't deflate at all. It seemed to be as Flynny described, the liquid (ammmonia - smelt like it) had gotten between the layers in the tyre and pooled up as the bubble. Took the tyre off and found most of the sealant had gone thick and gluggy, so I'm assuming all the ammonia that was supposed to keep it liquid had departed and was now residing in between the layers of the tyre. Replaced the tyre and hung the old one out in the sun for a few days to dry out. As it still had plenty of meat left on it I'm now using it with a tube on one of the kids bikes.

I had a Kenda Nevegal do this. It was fitted without sealant as Kenda recommend against it. I have two new ones now (The Nevegal is my favourite tyre) and no issues since.
Ive picked up a Maxiss Larsen TT Lust and Stan's sealent
