WSMTB fun in the sun
great day at yellomundee ,started out midfield was getting held up then I got passed by a guy who was making up some ground so I tagged on with him started picking up a few places and feeling good,on the back section past shaws farm a new section of track had been made cutting about 3.5km out of the main loop to create a 6.5 k loop for the race ,however someone had crashed through the bunting across the old section of track and I blindly following the guy in front of me went staight ahead instead of turning left resulting in a 31 min time for my first lap!we were now somewhere up the back of the pack,I handed over to Steve who ripped around the course in 22.16for his first lap, we continued going lap for lap with my next 4 all within 45 sec of each other 21.59.....22.43 .Steve finished his 5th with 2 mins left till4 hours which ment 1 more for me ,I cruised around to complete our 11th lap felt good and still managed a good time was pretty hot by this stage.happy with our result even with the first lap mishap and looking forward to more.

Hi Craig, thanks for organising yesterday it was fun. Nice to race on a techy track to mix it up a bit. I'm still gobsmacked at how fast those elite guys are.
Craked ... you are getting faster and faster. 11th = nice work. Reckon it's got to do with all the riding you are doing !!!
you two are quite the duo to beat!!
thanks guys, doing about 150 km per week including my commute twice a week, just trying to keep it fun without any pressure !
Hi,
Glad you all enjoyed the 4 Hour. I was going great - actually leading Craig Gordon for a while - until I started the race!
Sorry about the divirsion north of Shaws Ck. As you said - somebody went through the bunting, and we believe came back through it but did not tie it up. Consequently a group of riders headed off into the jungle north of the creek. We heard about it pretty quickly, and went down and put 3 (yes THREE!) lengths of tape across the track. AMAZINGLY then the 3 tapes were broken, and more riders headed off into the wilderness.
FIVE lengths of tape finally solved the issue!
Hope to see you all back there on 20 Feb for Round 3 of our Summer Series.
