00:12:38 It's funny how things work. Felt pretty strong at Tuesday nights race. Had a nice recovery ride yesterday, still feeling good and was psyked to get up and have a crack at this one.
Today, however I felt like I was riding underwater or something. 12:38 is ok but I was completely spent and was barely able to keep pushing the pedals over as I continued over the top and into work.
I obviously need to do a lot more work on my base fitness

How's your eating and sleep been the last 24-48hrs?
Eating pretty good, sleep.... It's hot....
I think the heat and humidity got to me most.
... has been tough with the humidity. I'm suffering a bit of "post prantial somnolescence" (sleepy after lunch in plain english!) at the moment. zzzz....
The last few weeks I've been taking a cool shower just before bed, which has helped drop the core temperature and seems to have improved my ability to doze off of an evening. Getting to sleep and staying asleep has historically been a challenge for me on the days I cycle home from work, and adopting this practice has brought about an improvement.
