I use Alex Supra D rims on my DH bike. They are so much better than most rims out there.

I cant comment on the XC rims but if they are as good as there DH rims then your on a winner.

TBSM have a sale on the UMF pro's. might get them...

Generally specced on bikes at the lower end of the range, and lack that cachet like Mavic and DT Swiss that sees people aspire to upgrading to them.

I had a set a few years ago that looked pretty trick with stickers all over them and they were eyeletted for extra strength, but I was just as prone to busting spokes commuting as the cheap and soft WTB SX24's that came on the bike, and they ended up with a wicked wobble despite constant attention to truing.

That said, they'd have a range of different weights and strenghts to choose from.

And I just busted a spoke on my Mavic Open Pro's last week... but it was a monster pothole and I broke out a piece of concrete the size of a golf ball when I hit it. Sticking out tongue No pinchflat, though. Weird, eh? Puzzled

Yea, i havent had the best of luck with purchasing bike things on ebay. i think i might just get the UMF pro's from TBSM!
I have mavic's now but keep getting pinchflats!

sounds like u need more air or tubeless , never had a pinchflat im my 3 years of riding just punctures

went through 3 tubes in 1 hour. might be because it has a massive dent on the side of the rim!

Can usually be straightened with care, and a shifting spanner.

Even so, that says to me that you are running insufficient air pressure. I'm assuming this is the rear wheel?

+1 to tubeless. Better grip, better rolling resistance, reduced overall weight for the package.

could be the air pressure yeah its the back wheel.
also could be because i had micheline folding tyres on there. dont really rate them.
but in saying that it was buckled at menai flying down a hill with loose rock!
