Amazing what a new bike can do... Crack'n'Fail - "There is no substitute"

Started at the lab. Pushed quiet hard climbing up to the sniggle. Took it quiet easy through there, even took the 'B' line onto the rock by golf course. There were a couple riders playing on the steps which I didn't make - the only touch the whole lap was there (cleared the top of the boardwalk).

Had the seat quiet high to get efficiency, so the water bars down to the creek were... erm... interesting, even leaning as far back as possible. Some chick was pushing a pram up the hill here, a reminder that no matter what - one should always ride with control!

Think I could have pushed slightly harder up to Alambie, the fun down the board to 19th hole to the end is so good didn't notice any tiredness at all. Mind you - almost OTB on the 2nd 'B' line down 19th hole as there was a guy standing by his bike right on the line - missed the rock to roll down and bounced out of the pit next to it.

Computer said 34m19.30s - Matt's 'a few seconds' translated to 10... damn!
