Hi there mate, did you get many to go along? I just purchased my new dually today and would be up for going for a ride on either the 30th April or 1st May if you are around. Beginner/Intermediate myself also.

Cheers

Ben

But I'm hoping you didn't ride the Dam yesterday given it's condition. Sad

If it's wet, DO NOT RIDE THE DAM!
Saves your bike and most importantly the trail itself, not to mention a whole lot of other reasons...

Hopefully you pulled the pin.

Riding the Dam when it's wet not only trashes the trail, it does LOTS of damage to our reputation with the land manager (Warringah Council) whose grace we rely upon to ride there.

There are other options that are much better in wet weather if you MUST ride, such as Duck Holes plus Centre Track loop at Terrey Hills, and Cascades if you need to train for climbing. Not only do these trails drain a whole lot better than Manly Dam, and are threfore less prone to damage, but you will wear out your bike less.

Riding in abrasive Sydney mud is an expensive exercise. You can easily wear through a set of organic brake pads in a couple hours, do hundreds of dollars worth of wear to your drive train, and get mud in your shifter cables leading to crappy shifting and a trip to the bike shop to get them replaced.

Is it worth it? Puzzled
