Suggestions for places to ride in wet conditions?

I have avoided riding much given all this wet weather in Sydney. Terry Hills is not very good. Manly Dam is out. Any suggestions on what rides (Sydney North and Northern Beaches) will be the driest/hold up best given the recent rain (and forecast rain)? Thanks.

There will be nothing on the Northern Beaches that is rideable except for the black stuff.

I would just check the weather page on NoBMoB and the BOM observation stations.

Do a spin class or buy a fluid trainer and ride indoors, alternatively yoga and seek the answers to the question.............why the F is it raining!!! It's startin to piss me off too.

did yoga last night and that was good ,then rode to work in the rain this morning which also was good , it relieved the angst from not riding since sunday.but I would forget about riding 'off road' unless you want to travel in a south west direction seems to be considerably dryer there.

mount Annan may be OK it has not had any rain since 3 am wednesday morn and that was only 0.2 mm and has only had 0.4 since 9.30am on tuesday!

Mount Annan is shut... indoor trainer with a mtb video playing is your best bet

Go see Joel at Cyc'd Performance Training in Crows Nest.
There's plenty of sessions to choose from http://www.totallycycd.com.au/sessions.htm

That's Duck Hole + Centre track. Sandy firetrails that drain well. The only point of concern in the wet becomes the North end of Centre that can get boggy.

These are firetrails, no damage can be done (to the trail - your bike will be a different story!).

Think page on the BOM's site is always good for finding where the rain has (and hasn't) been falling:

http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDN600...

Camden and cambelltown reporting 0mm

So that would suggest that Kessel's Run at Camden or the XC track out at Appin are options?

There's also a weekly cumulative rain chart:

Road Yellowmundi thismorning & it was fine ! A bit damp but no rain during my 3 laps ,only one small puddle the whole way round .Appin hasnt had much rain either & handles the wet better than anywhere .

Appin? Never riden there before but I might give it a go this Sunday. I think that are might be in a bit of a rain shadow with the easterly winds.
