My first trip to AWABA so going up for the Day by Train. Early Start from Hornsby around 5:20ish!
Will get off at Dora Creek around 7am and warm-up on the way to the Carpark well before 8am.
Plan to ride back to Dora Creek for Lunch and take the train home again! around 2pm.
More than Happy for knowledgable people to come along and play tour barbie! Otherwise will try and follow the Signs around the track several times!
Let me know if your keen to catch the Train there and back. Return Ticket $10.80. Approximately 90mins on express service.
If you want to arrive later thats cool, will be there for a few hours so jump on the course and join the ride!
Plan to bring a camera and take some action shots!!

love to join you guys - some I haven't seen in a while but Glenrock are having a trail building day and I've missed the last couple. With the amount of work going on I'd like to do my bit.
Should come check Glenrock out soon - World Trail (Glen Jacobs) and some really dedicated local legends have done some major improvements recently.
Harry
No problem....trail building is priorty!!
Do the good trail work up at GR!
Love to get up to GlenRock soon too!

Been for a ride this afternoon and sheared a pivot bolt of on my rear shock. The parts having to come from the US so I'll have to take the slicks of the stumpjumper.
I'll be on the trance as the cannondale frame has a crack under the head tube
Seriously, thats a pain but I was hearing the same thing the other week about a cannondale and a cracked frame. Thank god for N+1.
It's certainly justifies having a spare bike
I now have my new N, so am considering this group ride.. Might be a last minute inclusion... We'll see.
We need a +1 to cancel out the -1 on this ride....more the merrier!
Its not carbon is it ????
And i love carbon.
: )
My wife hates carbon! It interferes with a new bathroom... She'll get used to the hose...
forecast 10-20 mm rain for sat
the weather pans out to be better by friday...if not...ride is to be postponed..
have to make the call on friday as it's a long drive just to take a chance.
Awaba drains well but it looks like it poured down there yesterday
http://nobmob.com/weather
If it is washed out then I will be most likely posting an Oaks up & back as I need to do something. That is of course depending on the weather as well.
That looks pretty bad.
same as you Brian I need to ride, oaks sounds good If this happens I would like to join you .
No worries. Lets see how the weather goes.
I think its clearing up Govenors!
If someone rides there Friday can you let us know the track condition?
I think it's looking a bit dodgy for Saturday

Sadly I'm going to give this one a miss
Actually I'm a maybe for this.
Put the weather charts away those things will drive you mad.
Tell me about it. I just worked out the 48 hour forecast on weathherzone gives you mm per hour when viewed on your mobile.
Now you'll go and look. Welcome to my world
OK, I need to go over my Trance tonight and swap some bits from my Cannondale so I'll be driving up in the morning.
after a hard day in the office thanks to someone taking out my storage array. Haven't done a thing towards getting organised with getting the stumpy set up.
Hope you have a dry ride, I'll take my chances locally on the road!
A hard day in the office is why you need to ride Awaba. I had a pretty crappy day as well so thought there's only one way to remedy that
Thanks for the ride today guys. I'm glad I made the drive up there
had a great ride today thanks. Finished @ the right time too, by the time i got home it was raining.
thanks for the lift up Brian!
Had a great first three laps and was loving it! Can't wait to get back up there again.
what were the conditions?
Awaba was dry for 99% of the course. There were probably two damp puddles and no free surface water!
no rain up there before lunch time...might have had 1mm this afternoon.
