As cracked said, social rides are a great way to meet new faces. I have only had one experience of this myself but it was really relaxed and friendly. I'm going to be riding up at Awaba and Ourimbah more in the future. How mobile (transport) are you? These are awesome tracks. Manly Dam is my local stomping ground would be happy to show you around sometime.

You could try riding the following trail, but I think it's too steep to enjoy unless your super fit, or you don't mind walking your bike up some steep hills: http://nobmob.com/rides/berowravalley You could firstly just check out the flat section of fire trail at your end, at Quarry Road Dural. You can turn around as it heads down, and come back:
