Hi - I've never ridden out at Mnt Annan before. I fancy bunking down there on a Sat arvo to cut a few laps.
It'll be very very relaxed as I'll have ridden on the roadie in the morning, so this is just a real chill-out casual ride.

I might do some skills / technique stuff while I'm there too - just depends on what its like.

I'm going to Wingello in the morning for hill training, should be done with enough time to make it to Mt Annan.

How good is Mnt Annan?

OK - I concede, it really isnt going to be so good for the 'all mountain', MTB explorer type rider. But....
...for the 'hardtail riding National Series XC racer' - this is as close to a National XC course as we have in NSW.

It is a great little track, very very hard to keep the pace on for the full 6km loop. Technical enough when ridden at speed. Off camber, log rolls, rockgardens. All good.

Jay and Gary Milburn joined me for a great ride. I'll be going back, for some serious training. What a great resource Mnt Annan is.

It is a great little loop and it really works you over if you try to go fast,we are lucky to have it ,I rode there this morning did three laps then busted a hanger chucked on a new one and finished the lap but it wasn't shifting well so I finished up . but there is no doubt The more I ride there the more I like it.

This was a great way to end a Saturday, enjoyed the track a lot more then I did my first time there.

Lucky Wingello was closed, I was pushing my heart rate trying to keep up with fresh legs. Was great following Gary and yourself riding the track picked up a few things I need to work on.

Yeah - I've got to be honest, it wasnt really a 'relaxed cruise' as billed.

Gary likes to hit his berms hard, and I enjoy punching it out a bit too. Still - glad you picked up some things. We'll certainly be doing it again.
