Manly Dam Trig Track

Another good section from Manly Dam. While it's dead straight, the rock garden and step-ups along a shallow climb means it's an intense effort that also tests your line choice and ability to maintain momentum.

Pity the rider is so slow and painful... was this person riding through on their first ever lap of the Dam? Smiling Smiling

I wouldn't take that one ,author of the vid .

Not one of my quickest laps - about 50 minutes. Sticking out tongue

Wasn't seeing the track too well on Sunday ... a dull day and sunglasses is not a great combination. I'm looking to get some Oakley Flaks done up with prescription Transitions lenses going from mid tint to clear, which should improve things. Discovered in a recent eye test that my distance vision is not great, with the right eye worse and speed to focus

A bit more cardio fitness and core strength endurance wouldn't go astray either!

Plus you were towing one of those WW2 video cameras and camera stands... would slow anyone down Eye-wink

As I say to myself at the start of every cycle... the objective is to get round in one piece and keep on cycling... Keep these videos coming Hawkeye.

So the nickname is purely ironic?

Shall we say, it's historic Sticking out tongue

Been noticing the last 12 months in particular the ability to process trail information isn't what it once was. Eye test results explained why ... and the impactis greater in low light conditions. Now I just need to organise the fix. Smiling

I'm a huge fan of contacts, been wearing them for 20 years. I've thought about the laser surgery but at $6000 I can buy a truckload of contacts AND not get my eyes operated on.

I had laser eye surgery 4 years ago... it didn't go well! It left me without proper eye sight for 3-6 months. The first 2 weeks were scary when all I could see was blurred shapes... then I had multiple eye infections and had a novice tech put a huge scratch in the cornea... emergency surgery followed to fix it! Was just one of those freak things that can wrong in about 1% of all cases... guess I'm just lucky! 4 Years later and all is good though the right eye sight has dropped off a little in recent months

I had a guy working for me who had laser surgery and it worked well for him. You hear about the risks... glad it worked out for you in the end.

had it done to one eye last week to remove a cornea. 68 and no longer wears glasses. Result!

The MiL had it done years ago but the replacement lense would catch the light, resulting in a quite evil glint......
