Menai tomorrow?

Ok so I'm looking to have an explore round Menai again, only my second attempt, and keen to get a head start. Does anyone have maps/guides to the trails there? Would anyone want to come along tomorrow middayish?

Ta,
Matt.

Never been to Menai... new trails.... hello! Smiling

Will let you know this eve if it's a possibility, but have to be home 5-ish.

Have some MB trails lying around somewhere I think.

Some sweet single track and North Shore style ramps/boards. Watch out for the trail motor bikers as I saw quite a few the last time I was there. And be prepared to carry your bike on a few unclimbable sections.

I'm afraid I can't help out with directions or maps as I had a good guide the two times I was there.

All I remember was parking at the Lucas Heights school, riding via the nearby oval and having to cross a major road near the nuclear reactor.

Would love to make the ride tomorrow but it looks like I'll be working then. Bummer.

Btw, if you are heading there via Sutherland, the Vietnamese pork roll at the Sutherland shops near the station is fantastic.

(I'm assumming Menai is the same as Lucas Heights).

I did discover a map from Fat Boys MTB IIRC, I have the link at home so I'll post that up here later, Rob if you have the GPS to synchronise with that then we're sorted! Which officially means you have to come along...

Not sure what time I'm going yet, have to clear that with the GF, but it's definitely on.

Ta,
Matt.

PS - Off topic but I have to big up Chris and Adam at CBD who last night helped me get a non UST tyre to seat on a UST rim, their fault for selling it to me in the first place (;-}) but can't fault their service at all, another big tick for them.

PPS - Gazza - I had a peek at Adams trials bike and you definitely need one... very nice, it's rare you look at a bike and think it'll improve your riding a lot but this one certainly will, 10kg's ish(!), lovely lookin' and smooth and sticky in all the right places... He'll probably have pics on observedtrials.

Ok so here's the one map I found:

Give me a bell Rob if you fancy an explore.

Ta,
Matt.
