Well - anyone can add a poll... so hop to it!
Comes from eastern Europe...
Well... seeing as Scandinavia and quiet a lot of Russia are considered part of Europe, I'd say a Pole is better described as a red and white striped sticky thing that pokes out of the bottom of the Earth.
This question is pretty similar to that classic philosophical question:
"Is this a question?"
But only if this is an answer.
Not necessarily the right answer mind you.
