Lindfield all the way round to Manly Dam?
Does anyone know anything about the below track?
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode...
Seems to be a trail that starts in Lindfield near the corner of Eastern Arterial Rd and Tyron Rd. It then seems to head out either north to Cascades or south east under the Roseville Bridge. And possibly all the way round into Bantry Bay and eventually Manly Dam on the Wakehurst Parkway.
I'm just bored here at home on a Saturday so was just browsing around on Google Maps. If it's any good I may go have a look someday.

Riding it till Roseville bridge (area) and back is great fun. Its a sweet little trail. It starts on a fire trail, which is really easy (I've driven my car on it before at night in the rain) then become s something which... suiffice to say you wouldn't want to drive a car on!
The route to the cascades wasn't too pleasant when I last did it, but you often see a couple of cyclists battling it out..
I would normally start at the Roseville bridge end. It is "very pretty" single track, quiet narrow in parts. Through sections of rain forest, under rock overhangs and over bridges etc. The middle section is quite washed out and rocky, difficult for your average rider to clear first go around. Then there are some stone stairs which get you down to the FT. Long slow climb up to Eastern Arterial. The return trip is great because of the water bars. Coming from the Eastern Arterial Rd end that map shows a junction with a trail on the left which I think is what you are thinking of linking up to head over to Cascades etc. Can't currently be done. There is a bridge here over the river, but its decrepid and closed off. I haven't stopped to have too close a look at it but the warning signs would suggest it is a brave person to try and cross it.
I know others here don't think much of this trail, doesn't really go anywhere, is a little short, etc etc, but for a scenic morning out I think its worth a try.
Word of warning though. The sniggle is very overgrown in places and there are lots and lots of walkers so avoid the temptation and watch your speed, particularly on blind corners.
Is somewhat old. More than half of the planks are missing. A few broke under my feet. I crossed it by staying on the big beams, but wouldn't do it again.
I'll get a photo of it for the site sometime.
Oh and pump up your tyres.
Well I may just stick to the normal trails for now. But I'll check it out someday I guess.

Thanks for the links Rob
Looks like it has some interesting steps to muck around on. May go have a play someday as I live relatively close to there.
