oxford falls
I'm going to head out this arvo, hoping to be there around 2-230 just to check it out as I've never been there before.
Given all the talk about it being knocked down I got up this morning and had the urge. I know its late notice for today but if your about the place then come along.
But the main reason for this post is that I'll probably go next weekend as well if all goes well today. Anyone interested in coming along?

and yes, i will be going back next weekend on the sunday! its sooo good. There's eleventy squillion tracks to conquer. I'm not sure the exact times yet but when I do i'll post a proper ride meeting. I was thinking of just cruising the downhill area but i know there's buckets of xc to done there as well.

I think Gazza was talking about the exact same thing (a meet up next Sunday) and if the weather is good I could be tempted to come along and try and get some pictures.
Look out for an early XC ride followed by a meeting with the DH'ers!
Nice little video getting into the jumps, and hopefully you weren't hurt in the fall.
If it's any consolation it did give the video impact. I'll have to get up there one day for, sure but I don't jump well.

Nice work on the DH trail there chief!! Sensational riding, and looks like awesome fun. The funny thing is, I have ridden countless hours through Oxford Falls before, and for the life of me can't remember seeing that trail you were on. Especially with the North Shore ramp you jumped. But it may be new... anyway... Never let your pride be crushed because of a simple fall. Just get on again and have another go - just to show you are a slow learner!!!
Well, that's my excuse. 
You'll have to show me around this part of Oxford Falls. So when are you moving to Sydney??

Only been to Oxford Falls once, and that was on my old, very, very dodgy bike. A ride in a week sounds great, as long as my corked leg has got better by then...
Its funny you should ask if it hurt. Just before I did it i said to dad, "I might put on my backpack as a form of back protection" and sure enough i fell straight onto all these burnt sticks on my back and the backpack full of jumpers and stuff broke my fall. Its amazing how little it actually hurt.
The north shore stuff is everywhere but that particular section is right down the bottom of it just before you hook onto morgan road again. As i said there are heaps of jumps and trails all over the place like a terrain park. I did this one drop off and tried to go later and find it again to show the old man and couldn't find it!
It would be good to have two groups start off from the same place as in an xc group and a dh group. I have an actual video recorder that i'll sort out for the day rather than bodging together one from a phone cam.
