Well I wanted to do the Oaks before Andrew's night ride there. Also I can't do Carlgroover's Mid Mountain tour on Aug 12 as I have the City 2 Surf.

I will be catching the 9:23 train from Glenbrook up to Hazelbrook. If this is too late then I can move the start time forward.

We'll be doing some singletrack and then the Oaks.

Who's in?

But I would prefer earlier as I'll probably ride back up the Oaks to get home, and the morning's the best time to ride, (isn't it?). John.

I can't reach the Bluie Mountains this weekend due to the famous trackwork.

John, see you there on the 12th.

Cheers,

Leo.

I believe the trackwork is only between Lithgow and Bell so this should not affect where we are going?

but will affect me as I would go all the way there by train and there will be trackwork in the Western line.

O.k. Leopafe we'll see you then. I also checked the cityrail website and it seems the trains would be running as normal for you, the track work is well west of Hazelbrook.
Bye John.

John, I live near Strathfield and the Western line is disrupted from Blacktown to Penrith with buses taking over, so I won’t make it.

Hope you have a good ride.

Cheers,

Leo.

Thanks to John for taking me around some tracks at Hazelbrook and The Oaks. And thanks for the patience in waiting for slow ass me to catch up Smiling

All you going for a ride in the Mid Mountain Tour next week are in for a real treat.

I had a ball too, we did well today covering quite a few kms and the pace didn't bother me at all, it just gave me more time to have a chat.
I got a flat on the way back up the Hwy so quickly put in the new tube and didn't check it before inflating, 50m down the road the tire is rubbing, and then the tube came out of the tyre (under the bead) and begin growing enormous while I'm trying to deflate it, I wasn't fast enough and it exploded lucky I had a 2nd tube that I installed with more care. John.
