just put... 'roid boys only
for this one.. would love to see Steve at 'moderate' pace!
ha!
MEEE
i am hoping to make this one, havent been out with the nobmob group for a few months.
How many km's do you think Steve and how accurate is your 4hrs ride time, have stuff on in the afternoon so need to be out of there by 1.30 or so at the latest.
Don
does this mean you will be attending?
you are referring to Caro there?!!
So are you coming?
don't know how many km's we will cover ,depends on the speed of the group there are many options on this ride so I will chop & change to suit.If we leave the car park @9.00am you'll be back in time so hope to see you there
Like Don, I also need to be out of there (if I get permission of course ) by that time...
Even if there's an 'escape route' for the early bailers and we could leave you guys to continue riding...
I have a big day too and am not convinced i can keep up with the 'roid boys - well, actually i know i can't!! however, if there is a half way bail out i'd like to give it a bash...
MEEE
thanks steve, i should be there on sat.
Worst case if time is running out i will find the closest bail point/road and make my way back early
You're not fooling anyone anymore... you'll be fine, especially on your new steed!
think i might be there! at last i'll be back into training. cant wait.
Go Christine!!
Wish I could come, give me one more week, remember I am not super human
All part of the grand plan!
but i really don't think i am a 'roid girl - that is Caro!!!
...you'd better wear your pink scarf...
Okay i'm in for this. Hopefully i can keep up with the "medium pace" as i am only a meagre human being.
Cheers,
PS: whats "snigle"?
snigle is what all mountain bikers dream of, it is searched upon at every opportunity whilst out on the trails. Once found it is ridden at maximum velocity to produce a grin from ear to ear, downhill snigle is most wanted (and needed), uphill snigle is ok also but not necessary, but i guess what comes up, comes down.
We will be sure to point out the snigle on Sat, is it snigle or sniggle, who cares, its all good.
Of starting this ride a wee bit earlier?
If not, then no worries.. I'lll need to stick to an agreed bail time...
Would anyone object to starting the ride @ 8:30am .If no objections by 6:00pm Friday 8:30 will be the new start time thanks .Steve
thank you!
Earlier the better.
earlier is better for me too. Thanks
no probs
should be good
bugger, think i may have to bail on this ride.
i will see but if i'm not there at 8.30 don't wait (out at this stage).
cheers,
I'll come along and try to keep up, seeing it's around my back yard and all!
looks like its going to be a big turnout, hope the trails arent too water logged
if there are more of them they can go at a less 'roid boy pace!!!
I will give you a call if I'm running late. Otherwise, don't wait for me. I should be there though. Rob, I've sent you a PM. Can you bring those parts, please? Cheers
Hey all, think I might tag along if thats ok...
merrier mate. see you all there
Hiya Steve, is it still on ?
The ride is still on.
I repeat the ride is still on.
Weather is fine, tracks will be wet but there is very little sand to flick up & ruin brakes & drivechain
Good ride today thats for the tour Steve some of that single track was awesome!
Top ride Steve.
Awesome fun and good size mob as well.
Cheers for a top ride all.
Evan
i agree mate, thanks steve for showing us around. such a great mix of terrain. i can see where you get your lungs from on them last bloody climbs. KILLER!
What a brilliant ride! It had everything.. Rocks, fire trail, single track, river crossings, bridges, climbing up stairs, waterfalls, hills... The list goes on!
The ride started with a grumbling woman on a blue bike at the back who promptly did an otb (and has scratches to prove it) she wasn’t at all happy with Cupcake and Jeff who were the ones that encouraged her to go on the ride in the first place but about half an hour in was fully recovered, totally happy with her beautiful bike and had a very happy enjoyable ride.
Thank you to all of you for putting up with waiting for me and for taking it in turns to ride up the back with me – although, Sam, I noticed you were further up the front after I rolled back down the hill to crash into you!!!
Had a ball – lets do that one again!
LOOOOOVE the Specialized
MEEEE
Hey, that was you guys (and 1 girl) wearing mainly blue?!?! About 15 of you?
The 3 of us (2 guys and a girl) passed you on the single track near Terry's Creek. I only recently joined this website (yesterday), but will catch up with you soon.
I remember you Christine. I was the little thin dude who asked which trail went to Eastwood, and then where does that one go? and then picked the other one anyway like some kind of stuborn idiot. I had rode it the week previous. We were in a bit of trouble as the girl with us (mate's GF) had just had a dummy spit regarding the slippery tree roots and wanted to go home *cry*.
It can be a frustrating bit of trail, esp when the roots are wet.
The girl we were with commented on how super cool all you dudes in blue looked. My friend and I were like 'oh you perv!'.
same feedback from me, great day with the mob. Some of the best singletrack ive seen since Coffs.
but didnt realise we were all 'blue'??
that my bike is so super cool that it attracts the eye!!
I remember you guys - we saw you right at the end by the car park too...
sounds like you all had a good days riding. seems every time i attempt to get to a Nobmob ride something comes up...perhaps next time i won't plan on going till the very last minute to avoid conflicts.
so anyone take any photos of the days ride? were the conditions muddy or perfectly rideable? it had rained quite a bit before hand.
cheers,
stood us all up ... hung over so no photos!
it was not really muddy or yukky - just enough to make sure all the bikes were dirty and needed a good clean (I have never seen Jeffs bike so dirty!)... i went to the bakers on the way home and another customer kindly pointed out to me that my back and bottom were covered in mud - like i hadn't noticed that or that my legs were a very unusual brown as well...
