State DH pics from Awaba
Someone posted these on MTB-OZ, pictures from NSW State DH Round 4 - Awaba September 1 and 2, 2007.
Now all you DH types are salivating, read more about Awaba Mountainbike Park on the HMBA website.
OK, OK, and you'll want directions I suppose? It's about here:

that course looks seriously sexy( sorry girls, i know that sounds sad!) it looks very, very knarly. can we organise a ride there sometime maybe??
... for now!
Unfortunately the track is currently closed to undergo not only repairs from the weekends race, but some tweaking for safety reasons. Once it's re-opened, I'd love to join in on a pedal (or lack thereof on that hill) there again.
We've got a vid coming from the race which I'll post up as soon as it's finished.
haha "tweaking for safety reasons", those rock gardens look suicidal!!....whens it open?
holy crap that looks intense
Thanks to "The_Master" from Canberra, we've got this sweet little vid which shows a nice section of the main rock garden. Enjoy

he just posts a few at a time
Just got a chance to look at the photos now, they look magic!
Would love to watch that live sometime! Does it only look like it or are most guys just wearing leg guards???
No, no, no... stop showing us pictures like that. It could prove bad for my health
That dude who posts on Farkin takes great pictures though!
you know you want one
It's stuff like that, that makes me want to fly, but I'm a Kiwi and clearly not meant to, going by the broken bone count getting into double figures now, maybe I shouldn't count ribs as they're nothing much, hardly need them in one piece.
Yeah, the knees and legs tend to cop the most abuse in small offs.
Me, I'm a scaredie cat and normally go full body armour. It's a bit more restrictive and hot but in big crashes it helps. You still get hurt but you don't get cut up as much in a crash.
Man, I am there! That place looks awesome. When are we going? Today???
I would never travel down those trails at the speeds those guys are. Slow and steady would be my pace. But I would try to attempt everything - at least - that you can do at that speed. Some of those rocks and small boulders look pretty technical. Just the ticket! Can't wait to try it. Looks pretty similar to some of Ourimbah DH.
nice looking yeti in the farkin pics too
