Looking for bike to rent/borrow for the day

Hi everyone, a bizarre request here. I have a mate from England visiting me for a couple of weeks, and we were thinking of going for a ride in the Blue Mountains. The unfortunate thing is that he needs a bike for the day. We will probably do the oaks or maybe Narrow Neck or something. I was wondering if anyone has a spare bike lying about that they might like to rent out for the day and make a bit of cashola. Happy to leave a drivers licence/passport or money deposit as security.

Cheers

There's a couple of places in katomba that hire bikes for a reasonable price. You can park near the bike shop and ride to the start of narrow neck.

Google "bike hire katoomba" and at least a couple of places will come up.

Edit:- here's a link of the place I was thinking of. The don't seem to have their own website though.

From memory, there is a place in Glenbrook that does bike hire, for about $60 a day?, but that was a few years ago now. Perfect if you are doing the Oaks.

Benno,

If all else fails, I've got a giant boulder hardtail with cable disc brakes that could handle the trip. It's my old bike and only gets used to ride into Manly. It's there as a back-up plan for you.

Thanks Lezo, will keep it in mind!
