Brake upgrade

I have Juicy 3 brakes on my hard tail and while they're not bad, I can't help but think some better pads and disks wouldn't go amiss.
What does everyone recommend?

Correct me if im wrong but juicy 3's aren't exactly the "best brakes". You can only spend so much on them and you will still have juicy 3's that are marginally better then what you started off with.

If your not happy with your brakes then rather put the money towards a new set i.e. shimano xt's or if you like avid elixir 5's or cr's (i've had both of the avid's and while they both provide lots of power and modulation from day one i've had the infamous turkey gobble on both so i would be inclined to go shimano). For the record rotors are around $40-50 each plus pads which are say $15.00 a set.

Good Luck!

I agree, just upgrade your brakes. I have just put XOs on my Anthem and love them. I have Elixir CRs on my Reign and the new Codes on my M9. They are all great brakes. The new XT and XTR are also great brakes.

Look around you will find some good deals.

+1 for shimanos XTs. Bulkier levers, but so easy to bleed and change pads. Not that you should have to do that much.
