I'm in for the first or second lap at easy pace. I don't think I will be able to do the World cup racing!
- they don't seem to ride that fast, I'm sure I ride faster than that.
Ethan my 16 yo son will be there also, but we will probably only see him when as we leave the car park.
where abouts are these located ? I don't remember these on the trails ? If it is wet tomorrow will you change it till next weekend ? IWe have bubs coming out soon & hopefully be able too come next week ..
Same as the ones that you normally ride down??
It should be dry enough. Even with the rain yesterday it seemed good for the half lap I did today before I had a stack and decided to call it a day
The bridge is the first creek crossing of the course immediately after the steep dip. It is made up of slick rock with a few ledges. Never been able to ride it.
I will be a starter for tomorrow, allthough I will get there at 8 do a lap and meet you guys at 9 for another 2, I may have a mate with me If thats cool.
I'm keen just need to get a leave pass organisied. I'll be no good at world cup pace but will try and hang on to complete a few laps at amateur speed
Hi Al,
Sue & I and a newbie (exchange student from Brazil) will be out there - probably a bit later than 9am. I'd like to reccie the area to the far north - up towards the camp on the northern boundary. We used to ride up that way in 12 Hour races - but haven't done so for a number of years.
I will be there in a blue passat with 3 thule bike racks on the roof. Should be a good day for it, see you all there.
I know the exact location 2 yrs ago is the first time there & I had a huge crash just b4 the bridge on my second lap following others my first real mtb ride & first of many crashes & fractured ribs & shoulder injury was there . I don't think my 29er has been there yet ? Might have not sure ..have fun guys I will try & catch the next one there .
I won't be there. Body is starting to stiffen and hurt after a training session in the gym this morning so I'll give this one a miss. Hope you guys have an awesome ride and will look out for future rides here.
I'm in! I haven't ridden here before and I'm looking forward to it. I hope I can keep up!
I'll be in a blue VW Transporter. See yus there.
Mike
Good riding today everyone. Bit greasy at the start but perfect at the end. Awesome disappearing acts from Craig, who seemed to vaporise after getting a turn or two in front, and great technical riding from Mike and Miguel.
Hope to see you all out there some time soon, thanks for coming along.
Craig is good at that. I once did a ride with him at Awaba didn't really see much of him there either
I hide in the bush and wait for everyone to pass, then take a shortcut on some of my secret single track!
Was a good ride today guys thanks.
Yeh was a great day and good to ride a new track. Relatively dry too which was a nice change. Next time I'm going to need a motor to keep up with Craig! Good to meet you all, I'll look forward to doing it again sometime.
Mike
Even if he has no tyres on you won't keep up with him , he is quick
Was an awesome ride with great company. And thanks for wait for me almost all the time.
Hope to see you all again.
