old stans/new rims

i'm replacing some old ust rims with new but using the same tyres which are newish should i remove the old dry stans stuff from the tyres before mounting on new rims

Cleaning up the bead will help make airing up easier

I always clean them up, as it's just unecessary weight at the most critical area (outer edge of the rotating mass).

it drys like some sort of latex rubber amazing stuff really streachy and time consuming Jawdropping!

is it latex ruber or some sort of other stuff like latex i havent read the bottle but i will now..Cool

Hmm.....
Best way found so far is rubbing it off with a balled rag about the diameter of the carcass. Messy tho, bits of latex like latex everywhere!
