Hi all, well Mitchells Pass is now closed to all, they have put wire fences up each end while stabilization repairs are carried out to the cliff line. I believe the road will be re opened at the end of the month to vehicular traffic.

I had to ride down Old bathurst Rd this morning on my way to work. You can pick up some serious speed coming down there!

yep...i once got up to 38kph going down there...scary stuff!

I did 89 kph on the long strail on OBR on a mountain bike, itt was before guard rail I never made the corner I locked em up and pulled up with my wheel hanging over the possum man drop.

Ask JP about the truck that did the same thing...exept he forgot to pull up...

lol I seen that truck, bastrad pulled the guard rail out of the wall and when they reattached it they effectively cut off the downhill track, he was carrying a load of steel on a Heavy Rigid, reckon he cooked his brakes or got off em trying to shift down and he was about 60 metres down the hill by the time he pulled up, very scary stuff!
