Saw my first trials bike
NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Saw my first trials bike in Newcastle, yesterday. It was on the back of a 4by, for some home builder. It was an Echo Bike http://www.echobike.com/. Looked nice. Made me want one. Anyone seen anyone do any trials riding in Newcastle? I never have.

The NPWS Cycling Policy states that Trials Riding is not a "suitable discipline" and therefore cannot be supported in National Parks.
It has even been rumored that parks Rangers will be empowered to check wheel rotation when bikes are traveling at slow speeds to ensure riders don't perform a track-stand.
So beware
Seen some guys out a couple of times doing Trials on Nobby's Breakwall. Always wonder where they get the confidence from to hop from rock to rock so easily, especially with waves below.
