Christmas Bargain!
I am selling one of my roadies. This bike has been a faithful training partner for a few years. I can honestly say that it hasnt been ridden for a year, but prior to that, it saw a lot of action.
Its a carbon frame made in Italy, for Sigma Sport. Sigma were my first and only sponsor in the UK. THey picked me uk when I was a young lad of 16, and supported me until I left the UK at age 30.
One of the worlds finest bike shops. www.sigmasport.co.uk check them out.
The frame is a 58cm center to top, and the top tube is short at 56cm. As you can see, it was slightly small for me, and I am 6foot3"
The spec is easy - its full Dura-Ace. The only thing that has been changed is the chainrings, which are the 'Rotor' rings.
To sell it, I have put on BRAND NEW - Bottom Bracket, Chain, Cassette and wheels. Thats right. Brand new wheels.
Stem is a Thomson, Seatpost is an Easton EC70, Saddle a Fizik Pave, Dura-Ace pedals too. I'll try and find some cleats.
Its a lovely comfy bike, that is a perfect racer or trainer.
Why is it so cheap? Its old. It has a few years left in it still for sure, but its starting to show its age.
It really is a great bike, and you could buy it and ride it into the ground, or, just buy it for the groupset etc and dump the frame if it doesnt fit.
If you dont own a roadie, and fancy trying it - this is a low risk approach. If you have a good roadie, and want a winter / wet bike - this is the one.
I'm happy to answer questions, so fire away. I probably have a shorter stem if needed we can swap out for a better fit for someone too.
Just a reminder - this is a full Dura-Ace, full carbon road bike, with a brand new drive train. Its old, and I dont have room, so its going cheap.
Treat yourself to a secret Xmas pressie - before the sales start......

One of the quickest ways to give your riding buddies a flogging on the Mtb is to start training on a road bike.
That's a danm good deal Mate!( and no, i don't get a commision for saying that )
Thanks Gazza - it is priced to sell!
That being said - should it not sell, I might get me one of them Cyclo-Cross frames (the Specialized Crux for example) and transfer the Dura-Ace over - I have heard CX is all the rage these days...
If you're not doing it then somebody else is!
Ants... so you wanna get into CX? Make me an offer on Bianchi before it goes into storage for the year
He can't be seen on that European muck!
Yeah... because Europe isn't the home of CX racing?
Thanks Rob - she looks lovely, but I couldnt be on a Bianchi. Spec wouldnt be delighted.
CX being so very trendy at the moment though - I'm sure you could sell it pretty easily.
Everyone else - hurry up and buy this bike! I will take reasonable offers. I'd love it gone by Xmas.
I've had my eyes open for a new roadie for my friend and it's perfect for him!
