Hopefully in a week or so, it has dried out. It will need it. Hopefully we get good weather.
We did have a ride that included Floydo a few weeks back and the weather turned out beautifully, so we can now check whether it is actually Hans or Floydo drawing the attention of the rain gods.
I'll be there to enjoy the show !
Lets look at this
Hans how many rides have you organised that have been cancelled due to weather? guessing Zero
Same for me.
Volker I want ask you how many have been cancelled. But how many have gone ahead?
The recent ride I organise, first with you a few weeks ago, it did start to rain on the way back to the pub.
Going from the Japanese School would have made no difference at all. Hope it dries out for you.
Saw your comments after mine, Floydo. That white clay is persistent but I cleaned the chain tonight. Aahhh, crunchy grit is all gone, sounds nice and smooth again
Sorry guys.
Maybe an early call but I'm not excited about the track conditions. :/
Would be good to meet you guys.
Rob
What do you think Hans?
Certainly drains better than Perimeter and long.
Perhaps do one lap clockwise and one anti clockwise depending on time.
Still keen if there isn't any rain today, currently nothing recorded since the 4th.
But beware the Rainmaster is still associated with this ride.
Beware....the water logged trails are still like small creeks.
$$ Beware $$: The price of riding muddy trails in Sydney = $ 180 to clean out & rebuild the freehub and bearings on my only 6 months old Easton wheels. The freehub was all jammed up with gunk & rust and 2 of the 4 bearings busted...
Let's check the weather on Wednesday and make a call at noon...
Anyone have any updates for Terrey Hills?
Is it rideable?
A little of rain yesterday morning and today according to BOM. I'd say let's try Duck Holes and Centre.
We can always stay on the road and ride out to West Head, just to get a bit of training done !
Sorry guys, Benji and I were invited to tonight's track racing at the Olympic Velodrome at Bass Hill. The comrades from our '3 x father / son' Mont team will show us the secrets of on the track racing - all single speed, no brakes, 42 degrees banked track...(just like the muddy berms at Terrey Hills).
Most of the cyclists on this site probably don't even know of the existence of this $ 41 million Western Sydney Olympic mega investment! Check it out!

Need to get a ride in before the weekend, as i am away. Lets have alook at Duck Holes and Centre, if it looks ok , we can do it in reserve as well. If not we can pound the pavement to west head.
See you there. Unless it is pissing with rain.
