Solution for rainy Sydney - [Drought in Queenstown, NZ)
Did you know that NZ's South island currently has a drought? Perfect timing to get that $ 360 return ticket direct to Queenstown...the new MTB capital of the world! (Yes, it's even better than Rotorua).
We just got back from a 2 week camping and MTB'ing holiday in sunny New Zealand to arrive in rainy, muddy Sydney...
Here are some recent videos that were filmed in the same Queenstown location -
Heli-biking from the top of the Remarkables: (~ 2000 vertical metres descent on awesome high alpine trails)
(we rode on the same trails - but Nathan Rennie has a better camera team (and he's a faster rider))
XC and DH riding from the 8 different Gondola trails direct from downtown QT: (450 vertical metres descent on groomed bermed trails)
Below are some of our holiday pics...

Very jealous ... was wondering why you so quiet the last couple of weeks
Im going! how much does the chopper ride cost?
Really, that's just mean.
Maybe we need to send Volker over there ... since he's taken over the mantle of Midweek Night Ride at Terrey Hills organiser, it's just been rain rain rain.
I know where my next DH holiday will be.
Thnaks for posting!
I'll be in Queenstown in March so thanks for the preview of what I might be able to get up to. Did you venture down to 7 mile park by any chance?
Jetstar had some cheap deals to launch their new route, $500 for two return...bargain! Swore I'd never fly Jetstar again after a bad experience but it was too good a deal to turn down.
