Looks as if it maybe a causeway inspection ride?

Enjoy. i got hammered in Sunday nights storm, not keen for another repeat.

You guys aren't going to break any land speed records tonight are you? I'm keen, it's just been 6 months since I did a decent ride, I should be fine, just don't want to hold you up.

Muninjitsu's picture

Brett you wont be holding any of these guys up, they are slooooooowwwwwww.

hathill's picture

I'll bring the average speed down a bit!

Username2's picture

I was slow last week so I'll be less slow this week (I hope) but I'll hang with you buddy just remember your lights like I didn't last week Eye-wink

Chuck's picture

It might have been a bit slow, but it is a social ride. Just do laps with Pedalgogy if it gets to slow.

Yes, don't forget your lights.

Edit: We're still faster than you on your Muni Char.

Looks like a good evening for it. I'll be there +1.

Thought I might have gotten more bites!
I won't be there, see you slow goers at the Bash.
I ended up heading out 8pm, thought I might catch you guys, did anyone go?

What were the trail conditions like last night?
Cheers

Brian i just road down to the causeway and back up, didnt hit the dirt.

The single track has the regular mud puddles, which aren't to good for the bike at the moment. The Last techy section from the Glenbrook helipad to the car park should be avoided. It real should be closed at the moment and there has been a lot of damage by water and riders.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable ride. It's always good to see the usual suspects and meet new ones. The causeway is flowing nicely but easily ridable. Once again my Topeak bag unzipped and I lost a tube and some C02 stuff on the sniggle. F**K YOU MR. & MRS TOPEAK, WHEREVER THE HELL YOU ARE!

Do yourself a favour JP, and strap that saddle bag up. Get a strip of inner tube and tie it around the seat rails like a rubber band. Then stretch it over the tool bag to keep it nice and tight up against the seat. No more rattles and no more problems with zips.

JP you could always get the ToPeak top bar mounted bag, i have one and it works a treat. You can even put some handy snacks in it.

Char, I have a Revelate Designs Gas Tank which is the same principle, but larger.

Beth and i went back today and rode the same route and I found all the stuff.

As an aside, the park was open even though the causeway was at 250mm. We start chugging across and I go "HMMMM, the water's a bit high." Half way across and the ute conks out! Out we get and push it back. She fires up first go so it wasn't too bad, just hard pushing. Great ride though.
