Manly hotlap
Does anyone think that the wet conditions slow you down at all? I'm grasping at straws here but went for a spin this morning and seeing I didn't have a lot of time thought I'd do a hot-lap. Managed to post a time over 4 mins slower than my best - I think it's age and fitness but it felt faster and I was wondering whether conditions have a significant impact or not.

I rode the Dam this morning too and can tell you its not the conditions that slowed you down!
The track is actually riding very fast at the minute!
maybe it might be the bike ? Is it the same bike & conditions as last time ? Tyre pressure might have been different too.
I rode the Dam this morning and went slightly faster than usual.
Maybe try reducing your age and see how you go
I know how to adjust my tire pressure but can you explain how I can adjust my age?!?

cut right back on the grog & fizzy drinks, eat more salads & results will follow-is workin for me up here at Glenrock
I'm with you Donkerr - Tried a couple of laps on Saturday which almost killed me. I put it down to the conditions but also not riding it for such a long time because of the rain I think your body forgets when to go and when to cruise.
Poor riders blame the conditions or there bike!
Sorry but its true.
The Dam is a really good work out. I myself find myself riding a lot of duck holes and perimeter etc due to the weather doesnt come near to the work out the dam gives you. Dont worry too much, you'll get it back. My advise - do more than 1 lap. Youll quickly get back to where you were and then some... Good luck.
in about 3 months until Saturday but I reckon it's much rougher than previous with lots of sand and dirt washed away exposing more rocks.
Of course I'm no where near as fit as I have been which won't help .......
You know the old saying "the older I get the faster I was"
