Hi there,
Just want to know if anyone here has tried http://www.discobrakes.com break pads.
The price looks pretty good and they have freee shipping (I don't know if is just a special now).
In another note, can someone explain to me what are diffferences (besides price) between semi-metallic, ceramic, sintered, Kevlar, etc.. pads??

Never had a problem, but never used anything else.

The answer to the different compounds is on the site. Just takes a bit of hunting around!

They do take up to a month to deliver though!

....and no issues from my side. Have been using them for about 2 or 3 years I think.

The free shipping has been there for a few years now. Their pads are good and I've used them for Shimano XT and Formula brakes without problems. The prices, especially if you go a 3-pack are excellent. I get the impression their manufacturer is in Taiwan.

The different pad materials offer the usual trade off - harder pads wear better, softer pads grab better - the "feel" differences I've never been able to notice, but wear rates and noise levels are as per their web site. There is no "perfect" pad material Eye-wink
