Duration:
2 hours
Come Rain or Shine:
If it's raining, I won't be there.
Ride Database Entry:
Terrey Hills / Duffys Forest
Meeting Point:

The Tavern, on the bottle shop side

Details:

Ok lady luck got in the way tonight so I'm keen for a ride tomorrow night. Haven't riden for 3 weeks so this will not be a "roid boy" pace but a social cruise from the Tavern to the Jap school, perimeter and then long trails before the LEISURELY PACED return trip along the same path.

If you were at the The Mont a mid week ride should be a must to spin the legs over and aid recovery.

Hope to see a good turn out and yes Christine, ales will be enjoyed post ride at the Tavern, after we have moved the cars Carolin. What the heck, why not bring a coldie to have at the lookout as well but please remember to drink sensibly Eye-wink

Stuart,

I'm keen for a ride - I need to tidy up a few loose ends first.

I will let you know later today.

Its a bit scratched up but seems to be functioning ok....

took her for its first ride last night and was deliberately finding the roughest lines and having a blast with it! Laughing out loud

Paul... I heard your mont team had a few yetis in it.. and you spent more time drinking than riding? I want to be on that team next year!!!! Laughing out loud

Cheers,

Loz

The truth is Loz that I'd done plenty of riding lately and the Mont was the beginning of my taper for the Fling. It was a weekend of light exercise, bad food, good company, zero pressure and plenty of laughs.

Stuart M's picture

Where has all the enthusiasm gone? Someone help out please, might end up being very quick if its just me getting pulled along behind Volker over there, faster still will be lozza on the new steed. Lorrie, you got that bike fixed yet mate, I need you to help slow it down to 15.8km/hr Eye-wink

lozza6's picture

hahaha my new steed will just make me slower on the ups Laughing out loud

Maybe its empty due to the late start time? is 7:30 too early to start?

Loz

Rob's picture

It's empty from my point of view due to wanting to keep the weekend's wounds from getting festy. Yes, yes, what I wuus Sticking out tongue

christine's picture

you might get a bunch of LURKERS there tonight!!!
i suspect everyone else is tired from the weekend... maybe even the 'roid boys? as if!

lozza6's picture

But will those specialized bikes ever heal?? Sticking out tongue

lance's picture

If i manage to leave work at a reasonable hour, this lurker may turn up for his first Terrey Hills experience.
cheers,
Lance.

christine's picture

to be damaged might i mention were ones Lorrie was riding (sorry Andrew!)
The rest of us Specilalized riders managed to keep our bikes in complete form for all our laps!
as they still are!
good on you Lance!!!

lorrie's picture

I can't go yes I know I - it's a skirt type call. Would be good to catch up with you guys, but hey I still don't have that bolt yet, its coming in tomorrow and just to be sure i ordered a whole set of bolts for the rear suspension - after all no-one is going to lend me their bike after my last effort. So to be even more sure the bikes getting a major service after the fling. Suspension, fork. Manly dam and Bantry Bay x 2 laps on Sat though...

However you gotta admit that two bikes in my team did 11 laps each at the mont - not bad eh? And we were changing the shock settings and pedals inbetween riders!

Andrew

PS Now i only broke two bikes out of three specialized that were broken on the mont - and one got repaired. One was just sheer bad luck and the other was a "bolt that no-one would ever check" ibid George 27/10/2007

Stuart,

I'll be there and on my best behaviour. I limit myself to two beers and I'll keep my voice down.

See you at 8.00
