Besides yours was a maintenance issue, lets sledge your mechanic
That frame is only 18months old or so. Bolts never been touched. Bring on the blue loctite i say. Moral of the story check every flippin bolt you can before a race. Takes spares. Take a spare bike. Take a singlespeed hardtail (ok thats a bit too far for me, ggod onm those who can!) I think the corressponding bolt on the other side of the frame had some loctite in it

Hi Lorrie, it's still raining here in Manly Vale and has been all night. So I will have to give it a miss today.
As for the Stumpy....best bike around!. Those without - just don't know.
Anyway mountain bikes and loose screws go hand in hand.
