I should setup a Pushie Marquee with a bunch of shizzle ... natural spot to have a breather too
FYI
there is a note pad with my chicken scratchings / tally count of riders.
You need to record number of riders per hour or time period. Thanks to you both, and spread the news about the Lantana lash and also BMORC volunteers for Knapsack.
enjoy
Rory and I had a fantastic day on the Oaks today as Track Hosts.
I started off with an early morning single track ride just to check out the track condition, the climb out of the causeway seemed okay too. Then I rode back up with Rory arriving at the start of the single track around 9am.
During the next four hours we met and talked with an almost continues stream of riders. Some locals and many from across the Sydney metro area. We found the map at the Oaks gate great for pointing out Park attractions and some alternative rides. If you like camping, visit Euroka Clearing next time and you can ride all weekend in the park.
We even assisted with some simple repairs and our workshop pump got a good workout too. If you run tubes and you are 75+Kg, you might need more than 20 psi people. It would seem that way to many riders are running tyre pressures way to low for the Oaks(and they weren't tubeless). Just and observation after squeezing tyres today.
It still surprises me how many people don't know about the single track and were going to just follow the dirt road to Glenbrook. I'll give this feedback to NPWS and see if we can address this in the future.
If you like being out in the bush, like talking to people and love talking about bikes, you might want to join us next time.
