Hey Biker23. You might have more luck trying the towns of Paterson or Gresford. They are still close to Dungog, but might have more options. You could also try a search for options at Barrington Tops which is very close to Dungog.
Have a look here: http://www.stayz.com.au/accommodation/nsw/hunter...
Good luck and have fun. The trails at Dungog are awesome!!

Plenty of places there. About 20km from town near Chitchester dam.
I've been meaning to head back up there. The tracks at the Common are great.
Fat stacks do you no if you can camp at the Common year around? No so much at the event center on top of the hill.
I saw some nice spots along the road, as I missed the turn first time around.
Fires? Will need this ? this time of year.
Hey there Floydo. Not sure about camping on The Common at other times, but there is a caravan park in town that I've heard good things about. Check this for info: http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/hunter/barr...
Yep, the area gets pretty brisk over winter, so a fire would be great. Probably have to check with the caravan park. I think the recent event has sparked peoples interest in these little known trails. Definitely worth the drive. Amazing trails and stunning countryside!
About 30kn North of Dungog is where I just stayed. Very comfortable cabins in the middle of the wilderness, well serviced, and it is possible to ride right from the cabins if desired.
Been a few years since we visited but a very nice spot, close to Barrington Lodges. They have a number of different self contained rooms available.
Where are the rides up around Dungog? I went for a drive, without the bike, up there a few weeks back and was surprised by the amount of cars and vans with mtn bikes on em.
Really love to find out some new spots in the area. Cheers fellas
Hi shane2493. The trails are at Dungog Common which can be found by going to the end of Common Road and turning left across the cattle grid. It's very close to the town centre. Just after the cattle grid is some room to park cars. There are some basic signs up indicating the start of the loop. It's brilliant up there, so have fun!
How many kms of trail are there up there?
........In Dungog. The race track was a 10km loop, but there looked like plenty of other tracks in the area. The signage is not the best from what I saw. Just take the GPS and it would be a great area to explore.
Well, firstly thank you for the valuable feedback and information.
I am booked with 5 mates outside Vacy on a farmstay.
Will be riding Dungog Friday 21st July 2012 from about 9.30 - Happy to catch up with anyone who is interested or if anyone is about to host a ride
Thanks again for a great information hub/website
