Trails similar in difficulty to Perimeter and Long Track - Terrey Hills
I have been riding with my father for 6 months now and have been weekly users of Terrey Hills and Long Track . (Not to the end, we stop at the rock clearing before the BIG Hill.)
Can anyone advise on similar style of tracks, being pretty easy on the Northern Beaches
He is 73!!
Thanks!!

my dad turned 73 yesterday & would luv to take him on some MTB trips too-when I went riding with him a couple of years ago it was only the hills which got him stuffed-flat area's he could hammer along!!
Salvation, Baine come to mind. Relatively easy.
Yes, done those, but he does not like the ride up to them and they are too short.
Thinking Cullamaine and connecting a few others.
Centre is perfect, but not long enough.
Even thinking take him to Homebush for a bit of a surburbia tour
I xon't know too many who would ride that pinch climb anyway in its current state. It's only short ... why don't you walk it? The views at the end are awesome and well worth the extra km or so of riding
Other oftions are Duck Holes and Centre. A bit more climby but if you take the DH descent slowly your Dad should be fine.
Thete's also a horse trail heading east from Snives Showground near tje dog showing area that parallels Mona Vale Rd that is fun and relatively easy.
Thanks Hawkeye - Forgot about the Snives trail!!
Love the feedback from the group!!
I just got my Dad to start riding. We have started by doing a lap of Narrabeen lake, 68 year old Papa racing my 4 year old daughter on a 10" BMX. Not sure who held up whom? He was upset that we didn't ride this or last weekend!
Can't wait until they are both up to doing a P&L out and back, or a lap of the dam.
Rob can we get an Old Farts NoBMob! Though it may lead to an increase in the competition in super masters!
Forgot about Narrabeen Lagoon. Might be a bit tame, but great for a change in scenery.
Fire trail at the end of Bobbin Head Rd, just inside the park gate, before you head down the road hill. This is an out and back, relatively flat fire trail. There is a decent hill at the end that stops at the top of the stairs above the marina if you feel like more of a challenge and there are a couple of fire trails that come off either side of the main trail if you want to add more distance, just make sure you stay off the walking trails.
