Fling Vertical

So, you all know The Fling was easy, right? Didn't have any big hills, right? Worst of 'em was the Halfway Hill which was only 75m or something, right?

LOL... nope! Rob has been telling people this, but noticed on his GPS profile the bottom of Halfway Hill was almost a full 100m lower than the organiser's profile made it. Wow, that makes that a 175m climb which is a bit more of a challenge - how can they be so wrong?

Well, doh! If one looks at their profile scale they have the bottom altitude marked 610m instead of 510m! If one bothered to look slightly above we see 550m and 575m so the typo(?) is clear. Oops.

This should: a) Teach me(us?) to look at the whole profile scale more carefully; b) Teach anyone not to trust Rob when it comes to describing the ease of an event Eye-wink

Sorry!
