Details:
Heading to Red Hill for some trail riding this coming Saturday, so please join me if you are keen. I know the place pretty well so I can be your guide if needed.
Rough plan is to ride the "Main Trail" to the rock lookout ("Red Hill View"), then south around the ridge, through "Mr Motorcross" area to the "Rim Ride" sniggle. Then ride some of the other sniggle between the two main trails ("Corner Cut"/"No Name") on the way back to the cars. Something like that anyway.
Cheers,

I'm riding there on Sunday morning if you find yourself needing company but we'll start from the Academy as the fire trail after the dirt jumps was a mess last time I rode there.
Thanks for the invite Matt. I can't make it on Sunday though.
Cheers

I'm a beginner mountain bike rider. I would happy to join you, but not sure if you wanted to keep a certain pace. Red Hill is local to me so would be great to have a tour. Let me know.
I need to head out an hour earlier so I can get back for kids soccer....I`ll join you if you could change the time....let me know.
Hi hakea,
Well maybe just come along and see how you go? At least I can show you where the good trails are for next time. I won't be going at "race pace" anyway...
I'm already meeting another guy off another forum there at 8:30 (and possibly someone else too) so I don't think I can change the meeting time. When were you thinking??
Cheers,

Unfortunately Im headed up at 7.30 am otherwise I wont make it back in time.
Keep a look out for me anyways......im riding the giant reign with red pedals and handle grips...Say hi.
Ok mate will keep an eye out. I will be on a high viz neon yellow Ibis, somewhat hard till miss.
Have a good one.

Were you there a couple of weekends ago riding with a few guys (2 on Nomads)?? I was on a Remedy.
If not then Fluro yellow HDs are becoming very common in that part of the world!
I am fairly new to mtb but will do my best to keep up if I can't, just finding where to go will be great.
im not exactly sure whereabouts on red hill we are meeting or is there only one entrance? Is there a contact number in case i get find you?
hakea + Ben Swift - you have PM's
As I said in message, normally the gate is closed to the Red Hill Reserve (or road up to it) so I normally park on Lady Penrhyn Drive in Beacon Hill, opposite house No.39 to 41. We then can just ride straight onto the trail head (its a blue-stone gravel road coming off Lady Pen. Dr., with a gate to stop vehicles).
Hope to see you there somewhere.
MattP - nah wasn't me mate, haven't been to Red Hill for a little while now, nor do i have mates with Nomads.
Cheers,

Thanks for the ride will, hope you are alright, we had a good time but had no idea where to go, hope to see you and hakea on the trails.
No worries, embarrassing I stacked on the first rocky bit LOL. My foot just wouldn't come out of those pedals!
Hand and knee are pretty sore but I should heal ok eventually. Annoying being my first stack in so long and I didn't have my gloves!
Hope you didn't get too lost. Did you come across Chrissy in the end?
Cheers,
*
nah, we didnt see chrissy.
We took the wrong turn and ended up walking our bikes up from the ridge above the sport academy down some underground crazy downhill truck. was a good ride overall.
when you heal up, let us know when your going out again in the area. would be keen for another ride!
Hope you are up and riding again soon.....
