Hey guys, someone from over east is interested in buying a bike I've got advertised in the classifieds, but neither of us have experience of shipping a bike across the country.

Anyone done it? Any suggestions of companies to approach, and what the approximate cost would be?

Thanks.

If you can get your hands on an old bike box from a shop then these guys would be good, you can work out a price, make a booking and track all online.

They always deliver on time and door to door (from my experience)

I use them for work - fragile freight - i.e. : signs with glass doors and lights etc (from Sydney to Perth)

I would think a bike would be easy for them.

Great, thanks for all the suggestions. I've checked them out and it looks like it'll be between $70-100 depending on which company. The difference between the various companies seem to be speed of delivery, door to door or not, and insurance included or not.
