Hi Team,

last weekend I was trying to access the trail without going through the school but no luck. Anyone know the correct entry point?

Continue along Hawkesbury Rd to the nursery on the corner of Halcyon. Turn left down Halcyon and ride past the 10 or so houses on your left until you hit the bush. There is a clearing that runs along side the last house which the trail runs off. You'll see the start of the single track about 5 or so metres from the road. Head down the sniggle and follow the left fork when you come to the intersection, followed by a right. Follow along until you come to the creek and make a left (right will take you back to the road). Head along techy creeky bit and when you get to the gravel head right to the clearing. Through the clearing to the oval. Follow the sideline next to the giant sandstone steps, over the little hump and onto the firetrail. This will take you to behind St. Cannabis. Head to the right past the handball courts and then swing left to get to the trail head behind the oval.

Clear...as mud? Any probs let me know.

You might want to stay off the oval, it is one big mudfight, also it is very muddy right through at the moment, might be best to give it a few days of dry weather, it seems to be a fight for me every time it rains hard, riders start crowding the single and making a complete mess of it!..couple of days should see it dry enough, have done a lot of drainage work to make it rideable within a short time!
Follow brown hornets directions, although you might end up at warragamba dam..hehehehe!

It will pay to stay well away from the school, they will call the police if you are seen on their property.

Organise a ride with one of the locals, they'll show you the way. Much more fun than riding in the school.

I always enter through Whitecross and out and back the single track towards the end of the ride. Not a good idea to park cars near the Halycon entrance - if you ride in then no probs as you wont draw attention to the entrance.
Might head out there Friday afternoon if the weather holds out from now, let me know if you want to catch up - I tend to avoid the nursery sniggle for a few weeks after rain though.
