I'm looking to hire / rent hard mtb travel case for some interstate plane travel planned for next month,( total 5 days) was wondering if anyone had one in the garage not in use at the moment and was looking to make a few extra bucks$$$.?

Pick up prefer northern beaches?

FYI last year grabed used bike box from LBS and came home with very bent front rotor.

Cheers

Qantas sells proper bike boxes for $10-$15 dollars.

They are 2-3 times the thickness of a bike shop box. 4 of us used these when we went to Canada a couple of years ago.

No damage at all. They boxes are very very strong and the best bit is they pack flat when not in use.

Do you have to order these & pick up from the airport? Where do you get them?

I called Qantas before I picked them up. From memory you pick them up from the domestic departure terminal.

You can pick them up from the airport but theyre not cheap and much bigger than a standard bike box. Pretty solid though. We picked one up at Auckland airport after one got trashed in the rain and I think it was $30 or $40 .

I packed mine is standard giant box but e local shop gave me all the protective bits including a hard plastic disc protector and fork dropout inserts so it was very safe
