Anybody ventured in over the last day or so? I imagine it's still pretty wet (water running over the road in various places on the tar bit between Ryde Rd and the weir on Sunday), but maybe I'm just being pessimistic??

I haven't been on the trail, but the weir was dry this morning, but that section of road is still wet. I reckon the fire trail will be a mire.

Where's the best place to go in? Was planning a spin around there tonight and have only had 1 reccy there before off Lane Cove/Ryde road near that bridge.

I rode to work through there, from Cheltenham to Brown's Waterhole, on Monday and today, and it was as you'd expect, with a lot of water on the path and the muddy spots having appeared again. It's not as bad as it was earlier this year, though, more like it was in early April before it really dried out.

On Monday I came in through Pennant Hills Park to avoid most of the creek crossings, but when I went home via Day Road I found that the creeks weren't that bad, only a few inches deep.

Doesn't matter what it's like as the brown snakes in the top half of the park are all sound asleep so any ride there is a good ride!

Is that what they named Brown's Waterhole after? Smiling

I'm more worried about the water pythons at the moment!
