N+1...new roadie...with a motor!
This is my new (roadie) ride for when the trails are too wet.
A new roadie... with a 500 cc thumper!
A Royal Enfield Bullet - it's the bike they forgot to stop making....it has now been in continuous production since 1948.
I had some great times when I used to ride one through India back in the olden backpacker days...sweet memories!
Now this beauty came up on Fleabay. It is the modern, updated, low maintenance version, with EFI and disc brakes. Only one year old and you get all this engine engineering, tons of chrome and steel for less $$ than a Carbon 29'er....

Time to get one of those DH full face jobbies....
Is all that chrome standard? Or has someone stripped it, chromed it and rebuilt it?
Where's the dropper seatpost?
Mate....she is beautiful. I used to be a hardcore car enthusiast. I don't have a motorbike licenence or anything. But if a felow enthusiast was raving about some bike I'd get towel out to wipe up the saliva in excitement.
Unfortunately not much excites me these days, cars nor bikes. But this does look like a gem.
I hope you get to enjoy her for a long time.
@ Lach
All that chrome is standard on this C5 model. They launched it last year to meet the demand from the enthusiasts market. 178 kg of steel and chrome, and a nice english thumping sound...
@ Hawkeye
There are plenty of choices to accessorise, and most are actually quite cheap as the bike is in current production. From OEM's, or ebay or this funky english specialist supplier. Check out the extensive catalogue...drool, tinker, mod...

..and the pedals look a little strange..? is that the 2013 SRAM RED groupo??
Hans.. you idiot.. that's a motor bike!!
My roadie is a BMW F650 GS and it pedals so easily.
I reckon Black Flash would still beat it on Perimeter and Long ... even with his current injuries
Ribbing aside, nice bike
What can I say, I like my schnitzel...
Hans, are you getting a set of carbon Easton rims for the new steed????
I saw one of these in the flesh (steel) on the streets of Tokyo yesterday.... not nearly as nice condition as yours though Hans.
And at long last you've seen the light and gotten a steel frame! Huzzah.
